Who we are

Lescon Funds Ltd ("Lescon", "we", "us") is a lender based in Nigeria. We decide how and why your personal information is used, so we are the data controller. You can reach us at info@lesconfunds.com or 0704 386 5853.

What we collect

• Account details: your name, email address, phone number and password (stored in a protected, hashed form).
• Verification details: date of birth, address, identification type and number, a photograph and an identification document, next of kin, and where required your Bank Verification Number.
• Application details: the facility you apply for, the amount, your employment and income information, the documents you upload, and our notes and decisions on your application.
• Company applications: your company's registration and tax details, its contract documents, and the name, email and phone number of the contact person who signs for it.
• Signing records: your signature, your witness's name and signature, the time of signing, and the IP address and browser used.
• Payout details: the bank account you give us to receive funds.
• Enquiries: what you send us through the contact form.
• Technical data: basic usage statistics about how the website is used, and records of the emails we send you.

How we use it

• To create and secure your account and to verify who you are.
• To assess your application, issue and record your offer, and manage your facility.
• To contact you about your application, documents we need, your offer and your facility.
• To meet our legal, regulatory and record-keeping duties, and to prevent fraud.
• To answer your enquiries and improve the website and portal.

Our legal basis

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 we rely on your consent, on the need to take steps at your request before a loan agreement and to perform it, on our legal obligations, and on our legitimate interests in running a lending business safely. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. We share it only as needed with:

• Service providers that run the platform for us: cloud hosting, database, file storage and email delivery providers.
• The witness you name on your offer, who sees the details needed to witness it.
• Regulators, courts, law enforcement and other bodies where the law requires it.

Some of our providers process information outside Nigeria. We use providers that apply appropriate safeguards and we share only what each one needs.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while your application or facility is active and afterwards for as long as the law and our record-keeping duties require. When we no longer need it, we delete it or make it anonymous.

How we protect it

Uploaded documents are stored with access controls and are opened through short-lived links. Access to your information is limited to staff who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so tell us straight away if you think your account has been misused.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it where we are not required to keep it, restrict or object to how we use it, and give you your information in a portable form. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. To use any of these rights, email info@lesconfunds.com.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and show the date above. If a change affects you materially we will tell you.
